Join the Friends of Sleeping Bear Dunes for a fundraiser—Songs and Stories of the Sleeping Bear Dunes Area—at Cherry Republic Public House in Glen Arbor, Michigan, on Sunday, December 10th, 1-4 pm. Copies of the book, Picture-Perfect Sleeping Bear, published by Mission Point Press, will be sold at the event and shoppers will have the opportunity to bundle it with a calendar and birding booklet for extra savings. The book captures the history and beauty of Sleeping Bear country through a sparking collection of photographs and stories. The Beach Bards will entertain with a fun afternoon of original (or new takes) on old songs, stories, and poems highlighting the history of the Sleeping Bear Dunes area.
