Join author Pamela Withrow on November 14 at Hope College at 1 pm for a discussion about her recent book Madam Warden: A Memoir of the First Woman in Michigan to Head a Prison for Men. Pamela will be joined by co-presenter Ron Hammond, who is featured in Pamela’s book. Ron was an inmate who had received a life sentence, but was re-sentenced and is now on parole in Grand Rapids and is finishing his degree at Calvin College. The title of the program: Rattling the Cage: Dismantling the Prison Industrial Complex. This is part of Hope College’s HASP (Hope Academy of Senior Professionals) program and one must have a HASP membership to attend. Annual membership costs $150.
