Cunfushun and Calm
Poems, Photography, Drawings
Max left us early after a life full of accomplishments. He worked hard at whatever he did at school, in sports, in play, and at work. He made many friends. He traveled whenever he had the chance. He did his best to create a more just world. He found humor easily and we laughed a lot together.
As this book shows, he used his creative gifts to find beauty. He left many beautiful photographs. Just a few are shared in this book. And he wrote many poems to explore himself and our world. He wrote these to open hearts and minds to pain and suffering with the hope that we can find understanding and compassion.
We lost Max to addiction. But perhaps in sharing this work, others will be encouraged to continue the fight for justice and equality. Perhaps others battling addiction will be healed. That is what Max would want. Rest in Peace. You earned it.
