The Framework that Builds Brands, Sparks Movements, and Drives Real Change.

Jason Vanderground Challenges Readers to DREAM Big in Strategic Marketing Debut

TRAVERSE CITY, MICHIGAN— If you were one of Super Bowl LVII’s 115 million viewers in 2023, you’ll likely remember the ‘He Gets Us’ campaign that quickly became the most-discussed faith-based campaign in history.

Author and BrandHaven president Jason Vanderground, who played a key role in the campaign’s launch, was also part of that audience. “In that moment,” he said, “everything I valued—my faith, my family, my work—was coming together.”

The success of that project, however, was more than chance; it was the result of a deliberate, repeatable framework cultivated through years of industry expertise, which Vanderground is sharing with readers in his debut book, DREAM to Reality: The Framework that Builds Brands, Sparks Movements, and Drives Real Change.

Drawing on Vanderground’s 30 years of strategic marketing experience across various industries—including Fortune 500 companies, national nonprofits, civic institutions, and beyond—the book addresses the critical gap between inspiration and execution and explores how leaders in every sector can actionize their greatest ideas by following the DREAM framework (aka, Define, Research, Experience, Apply, and Measure).

“The waste of when a leader has a powerful dream but no clear path to pursue it—the missed impact, the disengaged teams, the unrealized potential—bothers me deeply,” said Vanderground. “Leadership and brand strategy are how I believe change gets made.”

Consequently, he wrote DREAM to Reality to provide readers with the tools to enact that change.

Vanderground, however, also noted that most marketing books fail to offer both inspiration and strategy simultaneously, which is where he’s designed DREAM to Reality to really shine. “I knew that if this process could move the needle [on a project of ‘He Gets Us’ magnitude], it belonged in the hands of every leader with a bold vision and the discipline to pursue it,” he said.

Built around the throughline of the 200-person ‘He Gets Us’ campaign (which, per Vanderground, is proof that the DREAM concept works on any scale) and packed with over 20 brand examples, a dozen hands-on templates, and endorsements from researchers, CEOs, creative leaders, and beyond, “every page is built to get leaders closer to action,” he added.

In other words: if you’ve got the vision, DREAM to Reality offers a clear path. (All that’s left to do is read!).

Advance Praise for DREAM to Reality

DREAM to Reality is both inspiring and practical—a rare combination. Jason Vanderground doesn’t just challenge you to dream bigger; he gives you the tools to turn vision into meaningful action. His approach is thoughtful, disciplined, and grounded in purpose. This book is a valuable guide for anyone ready to move from aspiration to real impact.”
